Cookies Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies (such as your browser's local storage, or identifiers that the Historo app stores on your device) are used on our websites sapraxis.com and historo.app and in the Historo app, and how you can control them. For everything else about your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

The short version

  • Our websites use no advertising or analytics cookies. The only cookies come from Google reCAPTCHA, which protects the contact form on the sapraxis.com home page.
  • historo.app counts visits without cookies and without storing any identifier in your browser.
  • The Historo app shows no ads. Usage statistics are on by default; you can turn them off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share usage statistics.

1. sapraxis.com

sapraxis.com has no analytics and no advertising cookies, and its fonts and scripts are served from our own hosting. It uses the following:

Technology Provider Purpose How long
Google reCAPTCHA: a cookie named _GRECAPTCHA, plus device and interaction data; loaded with the home page Google Protect the contact form against spam and abuse Set by Google under its own rules (Google Privacy Policy)
Language preference (sapraxis-lang, in your browser's local storage) Sapraxis Remember the language you chose for the site Until you clear your browser data

When you send the contact form, your message goes to Formspree, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

2. historo.app

historo.app uses no cookies. We count visits with PostHog, configured so that nothing is stored in your browser: page views and clicks on the store buttons are recorded without any identifier that could recognise you on a later visit, and IP addresses are discarded. The contact form sends your message to Formspree.

3. The Historo app

Mobile apps don't use cookies, but Historo and the services it relies on store some data and identifiers on your device:

What Purpose Can you turn it off?
Settings, cached content and chat conversations Make the app work. Chat conversations are deleted after 28 days without activity. No; this data is removed when you uninstall the app
Sign-in session (Firebase Authentication) Keep you signed in No; sign out or delete your account
Firebase installation ID App configuration, crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) and security checks (Firebase App Check) No
Usage-statistics identifiers: PostHog's identifier and Google Analytics' app-instance ID (and, on iOS, the identifier for vendor) Usage statistics, and measuring our advertising campaigns Yes: Settings → Privacy → Share usage statistics (on by default)
RevenueCat identifier Manage your subscription; on iOS, Apple Search Ads attribution through Apple's AdServices framework No

Historo shows no ads and doesn't ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps (App Tracking Transparency). Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation are denied in Google Analytics from the first launch, and on Android the app has no permission to read the advertising ID, so your advertising identifier is not collected. The app sends no data to Google Ads: Google Play itself tells our Google Ads account which installs and first purchases came from our ads (see section 2.7 of the Privacy Policy).

4. Managing your choices

  • In the app: turn off Settings → Privacy → Share usage statistics. The app then stops sending usage events to PostHog and Google Analytics, and the events RevenueCat sends to PostHog for your account are discarded.
  • In your browser: you can delete cookies and local storage, or block third-party cookies, in your browser settings. Blocking Google's cookies may make the sapraxis.com contact form harder to use; you can also write to us at support@sapraxis.com.

5. Changes and contact

We update this page when the technologies we use change, and change the date at the top. For any question, write to privacy@sapraxis.com.
